Thank you for viewing my art! I am an all-the-time middle school science teacher (biology), and a part-time photographer. I love playing and coaching ice hockey, playing guitar and listening to music (jazz, blues, classic rock, classical...actually...anything but vapid pop), and dogs! I believe in honor, integrity, honesty, compassion, tolerance, being a responsible environmental steward, and science (you can figure out the rest)!  I also believe that freedom comes with responsibility.  I love learning, ipso facto...I love teaching and working with kids.

 I’ve always been a naturalist (directly or peripherally), and photography seems (at least to me) a natural extension of that endeavor. I am a hiker and backpacker, and if I don’t get outdoors regularly…well…let’s just say that I’m more enjoyable to be around if I do.  

My inspiration comes from what I see around me, and from my amazing wife and wonderful parents (Mom was an artist, Dad was a teacher and a jazz musician). I do and post the things that have meaning to me, and if you don't dig it...I won't take it personally.  I always appreciate constructive feedback, and I hope that you’ll stop by from time to time to take a look at what I’ve got going on. If a blog feature is added to this site…I have a lot to talk about : )
Oh, and in case you're wondering...I shoot Nikon...and no, it doesn't really matter : )
